BrenX, formerly Brenmiller Energy, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire land adjacent to its solar facility in Kaposszekcső, Hungary, laying the groundwork for an integrated site combining solar, battery storage and thermal storage.

BrenX Ltd. (Nasdaq: BRNX), formerly known as Brenmiller Energy Ltd., announced that its Hungarian subsidiary A.R.D. Energy Kft. has signed a definitive real estate sale and purchase agreement covering approximately 10,872 square meters of industrial land and photovoltaic infrastructure. The plot sits adjacent to the company's operating 1.2 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar facility in Kaposszekcső, Hungary. The seller, Green Solartech Kft., is also transferring equipment tied to the existing photovoltaic installation.

Land Adjacent to an Operating Solar Facility

The agreement covers 192 rammed pile foundations for solar module mounting structures, approximately 417 linear meters of industrial fencing, and engineering documentation relating to the photovoltaic layout, grid connection and associated electrical infrastructure. The land deal adds to a series of transactions seen across the solar sector, including the $179 million financing secured by ACME Solar for a solar project in Rajasthan and the €150 million raised by Tenergie for 350 solar projects.

The aggregate purchase price totals $190,000 (HUF 58.3 million), plus value-added tax if applicable, according to BrenX's statement. The transaction follows a commercial term sheet the company announced in July 2026 and completes the contractual acquisition contemplated under that earlier agreement, subject to completion of the applicable Hungarian land-registry registration process.

Four Technologies Evaluated for a Single Site

With the expanded footprint, BrenX says it will have greater flexibility to assess the deployment of complementary energy technologies at Kaposszekcső. The company cites additional photovoltaic capacity, battery energy storage systems (BESS), its proprietary bGen™ thermal energy storage (TES) technology and, where economically and technically appropriate, modular data center infrastructure. BrenX states that bringing these technologies together at a common site could increase asset utilization and broaden the services available to industrial customers.

"We believe that this purchase is about much more than adding land," said Nir Brenmiller, Chief Executive Officer of BrenX, quoted in the statement. He added that the company is assembling the building blocks to expand an operating solar asset into a broader energy platform, combining solar generation, battery storage, bGen thermal energy storage technology and potentially digital infrastructure.

A Model Designed for Replication

According to BrenX, Kaposszekcső represents the first execution of its "develop-own-operate" strategy, aimed at developing, owning and operating energy infrastructure around customer requirements. The company presents the site as a blueprint it could replicate in other markets if the approach proves successful. The agreement with Green Solartech Kft. remains subject to completion of the applicable land-registry registration process in Hungary.
