Beijing‑headquartered China State Construction Engineering Corporation has won a AED5bn ($1.3bn) contract from state‑backed developer Dubai Holding.

The contract covers construction of the Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers development and Dubai Holding’s headquarters building.

Enabling works on the headquarters building are under way and are being carried out by local firm International Foundations Group (IFG).

The headquarters is designed by US‑based architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, while US‑based Aecom is the project management consultant. Dubai‑based BD&S Middle East Engineering Consultants is the project consultant. The project is slated for completion in 2029.

Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers is located next to the existing Emirates Towers and was designed by Singapore‑based SCDA Architects. The development comprises branded one‑ to four‑bedroom residences across two towers.

The project is being developed by Meraas, part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, and will be managed by Jumeirah, also part of Dubai Holding. U+A, part of France’s Egis Group, is the project consultant, and Aecom is the project management consultant. IFG carried out the piling works.
