Ardian announced on October 12, 2026 the acquisition of a wind farm portfolio with a total capacity of 73.2 MW in Sweden and Finland. The transaction is carried out through Enordic Evergreen, a local platform 100% owned by Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund (ACEEF). The seller is an investment vehicle managed by German asset manager KGAL. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Three operating projects in Sweden and Finland

The portfolio comprises three fully operational projects, according to Ardian. Two are located in southern Sweden, in the SE3 zone, which the manager describes as one of the most attractive pricing zones in the Nordic countries. The third is in Finland, where Ardian anticipates solid electricity price prospects thanks to the growing penetration of data centers. All three assets are equipped with top-tier turbines, according to the press release.

The transaction brings the total capacity of Enordic Evergreen to 350 MW, Ardian says. It follows the acquisition earlier this year of a 62 MW wind farm in Sweden from ERG. The manager plans to rely on OPTA, its proprietary data analytics platform, to optimize the assets and improve their operational performance. It also cites operational synergies and cost reductions within the Enordic Evergreen platform.

ACEEF is the first evergreen fund dedicated to clean energy from Ardian's Infrastructure team. Launched in early 2022 with capital of 1 billion euros and a 1 GW portfolio, it has financed new acquisitions. Its portfolio has grown by about 60% to reach 1.6 GW spread across 5 platforms, according to Ardian.

The fund invests globally, with a focus on Europe. It commits to making investments with environmental objectives as defined in Article 9 of the European Union's Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). Enordic Evergreen is a Nordic independent power producer (IPP) 100% owned by ACEEF.

Ardian says it began investing in renewable energy assets as early as 2007. Across all of its infrastructure funds, its team manages more than 10 GW of clean energy capacity in Europe and the Americas. Federico Gotti Tedeschi, Managing Director Infrastructure at Ardian, describes the portfolio as consistent with a "selective and rigorous" investment approach.

He believes the Nordic energy market is entering a new phase, with electricity demand driven in particular by the rapid expansion of data centers. Ardian intends to generate additional growth by drawing on OPTA and on the expertise of the Enordic Evergreen team. These statements appear in the manager's press release.
