UGL, a subsidiary of Australian contractor Cimic, has won a contract to provide strategic advice, planning, supply management, operations and maintenance for the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) fuel network.

The contract will be worth an estimated US$324m (A$500m) across six years, with options for performance-based extensions to 2035.

UGL will work on the Defence Fuel Network’s national operations and maintenance services.

350 jobs will be created through the project, with opportunities available for local suppliers.

Doug Moss, UGL Managing director, said: “UGL’s expertise and nation-wide presence allows us to provide a resilient and capable fuel network for ADF.
