CHINT Power to Launch Major Solar-Storage Project in Turkey
InApril, during the Turkey Solar Energy Expo at the Istanbul ExhibitionCenter, CHINT Power seized the opportunity to secure severalcollaboration agreements with various companies. A signing ceremony forthese deals took place right at the expo.
Urfa City Solar-Storage Project
For the project in Urfa, Turkey, CHINT Power will provide a comprehensive solar-storage system solution that includes a 275kW string inverter and a 2.4MW/5.1MWh liquid-cooled storage system.This flexible system can switch between grid-tied and off-grid modes. While connected to the grid, it supports self-consumption and surplus energy feed-in to maximize energy efficiency. In off-grid mode, it acts as a backup power source for critical loads, offering a reliable energy supply. The system's ability to shave peak loads and balance energy use allows customers to optimize their returns. The project is expected to be completed and delivered by December 2024.
The customer expressed high hopes for this collaboration, noting that this project will be Turkey's first solar-storage system with a critical load microgrid application. It represents a significant step towards a greener future, with a projected substantial reduction in greenhouse gas emissions upon completion. The customer also pointed out that they chose CHINT Power for its technical expertise and cutting-edge, high-performance products, which align with their energy needs.
Konya City Solar-Storage Project
In Konya, Turkey, CHINT Power will provide a 12MW photovoltaic inverter and a 10MW/10MWh storage system to meet various electricity demands. This project will be completed soon after the Urfa project, offering reliable power support to the local area through a combination of self-consumption and surplus energy feed-in to the grid.
This signing event not only underscores CHINT Power' international influence in the solar-storage industry but also signals its leading role in launching large-scale storage projects in Turkey, further showcasing its technical prowess in the field.
