Tender issued for US$275 million Hospital PPP project in Peru
The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has initiated the call for private companies interested in the tender for the Improvement and Expansion of Hospital Health Services care in Víctor Ramos Guardia, Huaraz, Áncash, Peru.
The upgraded Víctor Ramos Guardia Hospital in Huaraz is poised to become a Level III-1 facility, aiming to enhance various medical services including outpatient consultation, emergency care, obstetrics, surgical procedures, hospitalization, intensive care, clinical pathology, imaging diagnostics, rehabilitation medicine, nutrition and dietetics, blood banking, pharmacy services, sterilization, hemodialysis, and chemotherapy.
The hospital will feature 288 hospital beds, 20 emergency beds, 12 beds in the obstetric center, 16 beds in the surgical center, 51 beds in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 10 beds in the chemotherapy unit, and 16 beds in the hemodialysis unit. Additionally, the hospital will house 66 functional offices, 13 emergency rooms, two shock trauma rooms, and seven operating rooms.
The modernization and expansion of health services at the Huaraz Hospital are estimated to require an investment of US$275 million. Currently, two potential bidders have expressed interest in financing the project: telecommunications company Win Empresas and mining company Compañía Minera Antamina (possibly in partnership with Engie, Aeropuertos del Perú, Komatsu Mitsui, or Ferreyros).
Private companies will have until May 15, 2024, to present their EOI.
