The First Unit of CEECOIC's Suki Kinari Hydropower Station Successfully Start-up Wet Testing
On June 16 Pakistan time, This important milestone marked the final and key stage of the project construction. All staff participating in the project from China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the Company), SK Hydro Co., Ltd witnessed this exciting moment on site.
The Unit 4 of SK Hydropower Station successfully passed a series of tests after starting-up, with all indicators running well, design requirements and operating norms being met. Next, the Unit will need to go through dozens of tests for a comprehensive check and configuring that ensure all the technical indicators meet the design standards, so that to lay a solid foundation for the trial operation of the project as scheduled.
The Company will continue to improve working procedure in a scientific manner, speed up construction progress and identify responsibilities and work distribution as measures to further implement the Suggestions and “1466” Strategy of Energy China.
The Company’s SK Hydropower Project is on the first project list of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, a high priority on the Belt and Road Initiative agenda, and the largest overseas green field hydropower project invested by Chinese-owned business, making it a big attraction for the governments and communities of both countries. It is estimated that the project is capable of producing 3.212 billion kwh of clean power per year once starting operation, contributing to the quality development of local society and economy.
