Michel Raimundo Luzolo, Deputy Governor of Cuanza Norte province of Angola, paid an inspection visit to the site of the Caculo-Cabaca Hydropower Station project, undertaken by CEEC China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. (CGGC), on July 26, local time.

During the visit, he engaged in discussions with the project team regarding project performance, social responsibility, and local management, highly commending the project for its exceptional performance.

Luzolo was briefed on the progress of the project, the working environment, welfare benefits, and the signing of labor contracts for project employees. He also conducted thorough inspections of various areas, including the underground power plant and the 200KV substation.

Commending the project's construction organization and progress, the deputy governor praised the living conditions provided for the local employees. He also expressed great confidence in the project's implementation and conveyed his deep appreciation for the remarkable contributions made by CGGC to Angola's energy and power development, as well as its efforts in promoting employment in Cuanza Norte.

Furthermore, he approved the labor contracts submitted by the project team and presented legally binding labor contracts to representatives of the project's young employees.

Calling the Caculo-Cabaca Hydropower Station project a crucial strategic endeavor for Angola's national development and the well-being of its people, Luzolo said Cuanza Norte province is fully committed to supporting the project's successful implementation.

He urged all participating entities to collaborate together, overcome challenges, and meet the power generation targets within the agreed timeframe. Efforts should be made to transform the Caculo-Cabaca Hydropower Station into a top-notch engineering feat and a model project for high-level compliance in human resource management, he added.

Relevant heads of the Caculo-Cabaca Hydropower Station project welcomed the visit of Luzolo and the delegation he led, expressing gratitude to the government of Cuanza Norte province, the government of Cambambe city, and the Cuanza Norte provincial employment center for their strong support to CGGC.

Emphasizing that the Caculo-Cabaca project department will continue to strengthen the building of the local management team, maintain good communication and coordination with the labor union of the Caculo-Cabaca project, they said the project department will ensure compliant and efficient local management, and provide reliable guarantees for the comprehensive and efficient fulfillment of the project, ensuring the completion of the project's established goals on schedule.

Mayor of Cambambe, head of the Cuanza Norte provincial employment center, representatives of the project owners, representatives of supervising engineers, and relevant personnel from the project department attended the above-mentioned activities.
