At 4:00 am Kazakhstan time, on August 6, 2024, Well 22H-04, drilled by ZPEC Rig 7 in the Tenge Oilfield, was completed 7 days ahead of schedule. Although an additional depth of 150 meters was added, it still set a new record for the shortest drilling period for a horizontal well in the Tenge Oilfield.

Well 22H-04 is the fourth horizontal well that ZPEC Rig 7 has drilled in the Tenge Oilfield this year. The well was designed to be 3,273 meters deep, but was actually completed at 3,423 meters, with a bare section of 1,823 meters and a horizontal section of 838 meters. Drilling started at 7:00 am on July 7th and was completed at 4:00 am on August 6th. The design period was 35 days, but the actual completion period was 29.87 days, which was 7 days ahead of schedule.

The early completion of the horizontal well not only saved time and cost for the company, but also accumulated a lot of valuable experience and data, providing valuable references for the drilling of similar wells in the future.
