ACWA Power巴林Al-Dur2独立水电站开始商业运行

Haya Power & Desalination Company has started full operations of Bahrain’s Al-Dur 2 independent water and power project(IWPP) project.
Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Affairs (EWA) Ministry selected a team led by ACWA Power to develop the contract in 2018.
The power generation plant is equipped with combined-cycle gas turbines and has a design capacity of 1,500MW.
The desalination plant utilises seawater reverse osmosis technology and can treat up to 227,000 cm/d.
The project company comprises ACWA Power, which maintains a 60 per cent share, Japan’s Mitsui with a 30 per cent holding and the local Almoayyed Contracting Group with a 10 per cent stake.
A consortium of China’s Sepco 3, Power China and France’s Sidem is the project’s EPCcontractor, while ACWA Power subsidiary Nomac is the operation and maintenance contractor.
The build, own and operate contract is supported by a 20-year power and water purchase agreement between the project company and EWA.
