三峡巴西连续三年获得四项管理认证| International standards certification renewed
The operations of 14 units of our company were audited by Fundação Vanzolini, which attested to compliance in asset, health and safety, environmental and quality management, making re-certifications possible. Once again, our company has become one of the references for its market practices and certification of energy generation projects in Brazil. This is because, over the last few weeks, we have had our operations audited by the Vanzolini Foundation and, for the third year, they have been certified in accordance with ISO 55001 (Asset Management), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management).
To talk a little more about the subject, the Risk, Internal Controls & Quality Manager, Jacques Vigato dos Santos, spoke with us.
What makes this year's certifications different from others received previously?
A: We are currently undergoing re-certification audits. The certification process takes place in the first year, after that, throughout the second and third years, we maintain the certifications. From the fourth year onwards, we begin a new cycle, thus undergoing a new re-certification. This audit lasts longer, in addition to more in-depth analyses, aiming to evaluate the entire management system.
At this point, are there any new certifications or future plans?
A: At this moment, in addition to the re-certifications of the standards we already have (ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO55001, ISO1400), we will work and expand our efforts to obtain two Compliance certifications. Soon, the Quality team will share more details on the subject.
What are the main milestones in this re-certification achievement?
A: Receiving the re-certification of this work again is already a major milestone for the entire Company. This is the result of the work and commitment of countless professionals involved in the processes, whether directly or indirectly. Furthermore, an important change we had was the unification of our scope, which was different between the plants and Commercialization. Now, we have a single scope that covers the entire CTG Brasil
(Operation, Maintenance, Administration and Commercialization of Energy from CTG Brasil Hpps).
What are the main steps/work in the last year to maintain these certifications?
A: Quality activities begin at the beginning of the year, where we carry out an assessment with areas called “Road Map”. After this process, we have internal audits and audits of legal requirements, until, finally, we reach external audits to verify the processes. Furthermore, we have other important processes that are continuous, such as improvement management (various actions), document management, process indicator management, among others.
Finally, what message would you like to share with the professionals involved in this process?
A: Our company continues to be a reference in the energy sector, as well as a benchmark for other companies, as it is one of the first generating companies in Brazil to receive and maintain, in an integrated manner, this set of ISO certifications. This result derives from the work of all professionals and partners at CTG Brasil, so I thank everyone for their commitment.
