CEEC JTC 118 MW solar project in Singapore connected to grid

The 118 MW photovoltaic project on Jurong Island in Singapore, contracted by CPECC Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd., a CEEC subsidiary, has recently been connected to the grid for power generation.

The successful grid connection of the project signifies a substantial advancement for CEEC in establishing a strong presence in Singapore and extending its influence across Southeast Asia.

This project currently serves as the largest ground-based photovoltaic project in Singapore. With a DC capacity of 118 MW and an AC output capacity of 99 MW, the project covers a total construction area of 60 hectares, divided into 6 plots, with each plot covering approximately 10 hectares. Additionally, six 22 kV switch stations have been simultaneously constructed as part of this project.

This project serves as a significant milestone for CEEC in implementing the outcomes of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and a landmark endeavor in promoting the coordinated development of international business with a focus on priority and quality.

Furthermore, it represents a proactive initiative by the company to deploy large-scale photovoltaic power in Singapore's urban areas and industrial parks and enhance the efficiency of land resource utilization.

Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate approximately 153 million kWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to reducing 136,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which will further drive the green and low-carbon transformation in Singapore.
