Goldwind bags 66-MW turbine order from Fiba Renewables in Turkey
Chinese wind turbine maker Goldwind Science & Technology Co Ltd has been tapped by Turkish energy group Fiba Renewables to deliver its hardware for 66 MW of the latter’s projects.
The order is for Goldwind’s GW165-6.0MW machines with permanent magnet direct-drive technology, the manufacturer said on Friday.
The equipment will be used to equip three wind parks – the 36-MW Sadilli and 6-MW Pazarkoy in Canakkale Province and the 24-MW Uluborlu in the Isparta Province of Turkey’s Mediterranean region. In addition to delivering the hardware, Goldwind will also provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services such as remote monitoring and predictive maintenance for the wind park.
“Looking ahead, we will continue strengthening our local presence in Turkey with dedicated service teams and spare parts centers, supporting the country’s clean energy transition and global carbon neutrality goals,” the Chinese manufacturer said.
Fiba Renewables was set up in 2007 by Turkish conglomerate Fiba Holding to develop and build renewable power plants. According to the parent company’s website, the renewables entity has 14 wind and five solar parks with a combined capacity of 608 MW.
