China Three Gorges Said in Talks to Buy German Wind Portfolio

China Three Gorges Corp. is in talks to buy a German wind portfolio.

中国长江三峡集团有限公司（简称三峡集团）正在洽谈收购德国陆上风电资产组合。

The company is in talks with NEAG Norddeutsche Energie AG to acquire a German portfolio of operational onshore wind farms totaling 312 megawatts, Bloomberg reported, citing a person with knowledge of the matter. The portfolio has an estimated enterprise value of about €300 million ($343 million), or more.

近日，据彭博社援引知情人士报道，三峡集团正与NEAG Norddeutsche Energie洽谈收购其德国陆上风电资产组合，总装机容量为312兆瓦。这一资产组合的企业价值估计约为3亿欧元（约合3.43亿美元）或更高。

If completed, the acquisition would expand China Three Gorges' presence in Germany, Europe's largest market for new wind additions. Germany added a record 5.3 gigawatts of onshore wind capacity last year, according to BloombergNEF.

如果完成收购，三峡集团在德国的业务将扩大，德国是欧洲新增风电装机规模最大的市场。彭博新能源财经的数据显示，德国去年新增陆上风电装机容量达创纪录的5.3吉瓦。

The company already owns Meerwind, a 288-megawatt offshore wind farm in the North Sea purchased from Blackstone in 2016.

China Three Gorges's main market in Europe is Spain, where it has been acquiring wind and solar assets since 2021 and where its regional headquarter is located. The company is also the largest shareholder in Portuguese utility EDP SA, with 22%.
