China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd Australia Templers BESS Project The first batch of cargo departure from Shanghai Port
On June 21, the first batch of energy storage system equipment was loaded from the Phase 2 terminal of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port, and headed to Australia. They will be used for the construction of the Templers BESS project in South Australia, Australia, by China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd.
The Templers BESS Project, Australia is located in the small town of Templers, South Australia, about 3.5 km west of Freeling and 54 km north of Adelaide, with a total development area of 2.7 hectares. The project has a design life of 25 years and plans to use containerized lithium-ion battery technology with a total capacity of 138MW/330MWh.
The project requires the shipment of about five batches of equipment cargo , with a total transport volume of 164 containers , which are used to transport LC cabinets, isolation cabinets, auxiliary accessories and spare parts , with a total volume of 13,279 m³ and a total net weight of 4,531 tons. It is expected that the last batch of equipment will be shipped on October 20,2024.
After completion, the project can make full use of the abundant local solar energy resources to stably transmit clean electricity, which is of great significance to optimizing local grid security, improving energy structure, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting the sustainable development of the green economy.
