ACWA Power signs PPA for $400 million desalination plant project in Azerbaijan
ACWA Power Company, Saudi Arabia announces the Signing of Azerbaijan’s first large-scale Caspian Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) Desalination Plant.
The value of the project is SAR 1.5 billion (USD 400 million).
Project works includes Design, Construction, Financing, Ownership, Operation and Maintenance of the Caspian Sea Water Desalination Plant for a contract duration of 27.5 years.
Earlier during January 2025, ACWA Power announces that, consortium of ACWA Power and IC İÇTAŞ İNŞAAT SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. has been selected as the successful bidder for the Caspian SWRO project by the Government of Azerbaijan.
The consortium will build a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant with a daily capacity of approximate 300,000 cubic metres.
